CANCELLATION FAQ's

I NO LONGER NEED THE POLICY
You can cancel your policy anytime by giving i2i Brokers a heads-up. Just a quick tip though, the Professional Indemnity policy works on a Claims Made basis so it's smarter to hold onto it until you're sure no claims might pop up from past work. With Claims Made, you claim or report issues under the policy that is active when you first learn about the problem (not when the work was done).  So, even after a contract has finished, it's wise to keep your policy updated for a while. Also pays to take a squiz at the termination clause in the contract you signed with your Agency or Client.
I'VE GOT A NEW CONTRACT, NOW WHAT?
The beauty of your policy is its not contract specific.  So you can take on as many contracts as you can , within your scope of services declared, and this policy will come along for the ride.
If you're changing lanes completely we may need to hook you up with run off cover and a new policy or simply make some tweaks to your exisiting cover.
If you've decided contracting is no longer for you then give i2i Brokers the heads up and we'll talk about whether your options
WHAT COSTS ARE INVOLVED IF I CANCEL
When you decide to pull the plug on your insurance policy through i2i Brokers, they'll hang on to the commission and fees they've already earned. TAI will keep a slice of your premium based on how long you've had the policy, but they'll refund the part you haven't used yet. For all the fine print, check out the cancellation section in your policy wording or here
I've JUST PAID for it but my agency's told me I need different limits
This happens alot! All you need to do is reapply for the new limits and you'll get your new documents after you've paid. Now don't panic, just send us a message with the policy you bought in error and we'll arrange to refund it all back to you (100%)
why is only part of the insurance payment refunded
We're just like everyone else, we do the work, we get paid. We're pretty sure you don't give your client's their money back if your contract is cut short so please don't ask us to do the same, our answer will always be no.
HOW do i renew my policy
We'll hit you up with a pre-renewal reminder or two and the link to the e-form (like you did in the beginning). We'll give you lots of time (usually about 45 days) and keep poking until we get your renewal info or you've waved us goodbye. Our system is on the ball, so we'll chase down any renewals that haven't crossed the finish line and we'll give you plenty of chances for you to keep your cover. If you've ghosted us we'll let you know that your cover has too.
